Replace missing teeth

Dental Implants

Permanently replace missing teeth

Whether you have lost a missing tooth or missing teeth due to decay or trauma, we understand how this can affect your self-confidence. You might be embarrassed to smile, have problems eating or chewing and lack confidence to interact with other people.

Dental implants are the permanent solution to missing teeth. Unlike dentures, dental implants are fixed in your mouth and look and function like a natural tooth.

At Auroa Dental we have treated hundreds of patients from Hampton in Arden, Solihull and throughout the West Midlands for dental implants and we are confident that we can make you smile again.

What is the process for

Dental implants in The West Midlands?

Your first step in the dental implant process begins with a free consultation:

Step one - free consultation

At your initial consultation in Solihull, we will talk to you about what your teeth and what you would like to change about them. We will examine your mouth, teeth and gums, checking where in your mouth the missing teeth are and assessing the health of your remaining teeth.

We will x-ray your mouth and may take scans to help give us a better understanding about your oral health.

At the initial consultation we will also discuss your general health and determine such things as whether you are a smoker, have any illnesses or are taking any medication.

Step two – treatment plan

We will make recommendations about the dental implant work we could carry out which will be unique to you. The plan will contain details of the treatment, process and cost.

Step three – dental implant surgery

Your dental implant surgery will take place at Aurora Dental in Solihull. We will make you feel comfortable and administer a local anaesthetic to the specific areas in your mouth which means you won’t feel anything. A small incision is made into your gum and the titanium dental implant is gently embedded in your jawbone. Next, the abutment is fitted followed by temporary false tooth.
3. Dental implant surgery

Step four – healing process

Whilst your gums will heal quite quickly, we wait for a period of 3 to 6 months for a process called osseointegration to occur. This is where the dental implant fuses with your jawbone and becomes part of your gum. This process is essential for the success and longevity of your dental implants.

Step five – fitting of your bespoke restoration

Whilst your gums are healing, the team at Aurora Dental will be working on creating your bespoke new tooth or set of new teeth. This will be unique to you and colour-matched to any remaining teeth that you have. We will invite you back to the dental surgery in Solihull and fit your final set of new teeth.

Your dental implant process is now complete.
